I started with the triangular geometric shape.  I think geometric shapes do well in neon.  Then I wondered about what kind of backing I could give it.  One day driving in my car I got an inspiration, O.K. maybe not Archimedes, but still……  I wanted to get a yield sign that had some history, worn by generations of driver’s eyes but that part was not easy to figure out.  I managed to get a metal sign that was particularly bashed up free from a highway contractor.  This was great but then I found one on Ebay that had a quainter feel and also the word “YIELD” on it.  The B.C. signs just use the shape and no words.  Interesting in its simplicity.  From my Ebay searches the only real consistency in yield signs is the shape, they change in size and even colour.  Many places use yellow, but you still get the point.  The shape says it all.
